The Harmony Report - #8 - 24.11.25

ree

Good morning from Fossoway Stables. As the week begins, here are three stories of gentle progress from around the world, aligned with our values of NURTURE • HARMONY • SUSTAINABILITY. They remind us that change doesn’t always roar ... it often grows quietly.

🌍 This Week’s Curated Highlights

Rare North Atlantic Right Whale Population Shows Signs of Recovery

The population of the North Atlantic right whale has increased to 384 individuals ... an encouraging shift after years of decline, thanks to protections in Canada and changes in fishing gear.

Why this matters: When vulnerable species begin to recover, it signals that the systems of protection, habitat care and human-intervention are working and that persistence pays off.

Community Voters Say Yes to Open Space Protection in Boise

In Boise, Idaho, voters approved an $11 million levy by an 80.7% majority to expand and protect clean water sources and open green space.

Why this matters: It’s a straightforward example of community commitment to nature and local environment showing that when people vote with their values, change can be immediate and tangible.

Good News Round-Up: Renewables Keep Momentum + New Species Milestones

Global good-news round-ups highlight multiple stories from new growth in renewables to endangered species births and habitat revivals.

Why this matters: It shows that progress is happening in multiple arenas - energy, nature, community places, giving us more than one reason to feel hopeful.

🌿 Reflection from Fossoway

This week’s stories bring home a couple of simple truths ... recovery takes time and care. Whether it’s a whale species or our hedgerows, nurturing needs patience, consistency and protection.

Community action makes a difference. From local funding to votes cast for green space, it’s the many small decisions that create larger momentum.

Good news helps fuel more action. Recognising progress, however modest, motivates more of the same.

At Fossoway, planting a sapling, tending a wildlife patch, welcoming children into our outdoor clubs ... it all matters. These stories remind us that our quiet work participates in the broader wave of change.

🌱 How This Could Ripple at Fossoway

We might invite our community for a “Spot the Recovery” walk ... identifying wild patches that are improving, species returning, hedgerows strengthening.

Could we host a local vote or micro-poll with our members ... 'What part of our grounds would you most like to see developed/protected next?' ... echoing the Boise example.

And we can continue to share this, The Harmony Report as our version of a 'good news snapshot' each week reminding our visitors and followers that hope is real.

✨ Parting Thought

This week, may we notice the gentle wins ... a species rising again, a community protecting green land, a system quietly turning. At Fossoway, our daily acts of care add up. They are part of the recovery, the momentum, the story of nurture and harmony.

Thank you for reading, for being part of this journey and here’s to a week of nurture, harmony and sustainable steps.

Until Next Week,

The Harmony Report Team xx
