The Harmony Report - Issue #7 - 17.11.25

ree

Good morning from Fossoway Stables. As we settle into our week ahead, here are some encouraging stories of nurture, harmony and sustainability from around the world a reminder that small steps, steady commitments and connection to nature matter.

🌍 This Week’s Curated Highlights

1. Renewables Transition Accelerates

A recent summary of good-news stories shows that global renewable-energy capacity is now growing at around 29% per year, above the pace needed to triple capacity by 2030.

Why it matters: When the pace of change speeds up, the possibility of a cleaner future becomes less distant and more tangible.

2. Innovation at Nature’s Edge - From Rain to Electricity

Researchers have developed a floating droplet generator that can harvest electricity from falling rain using water itself as a structural component.

Why it matters: Nature often holds solutions. When technology meets nature thoughtfully, even everyday phenomena like rain become part of the sustainability story.

3. Nature + Cities - Urban Forests as Climate Infrastructure

At the recent COP30 negotiations, a key highlight from the United Nations Environment Programme showed how urban forests and green spaces are being positioned not just as amenities, but as vital infrastructure for climate resilience.

Why it matters: The places we live in, our towns, cities, and villages, can be designed to nurture nature and people simultaneously, not one at the expense of the other.

🌿 Reflection from Fossoway

What strikes me this week is that change is both technical and gentle ... the pace of renewables, the ingenuity of rain-power, the re-imagining of trees in cities. Here at Fossoway, whether we’re planting trees, teaching children in our woodland nursery, or simply noticing how a patch of wild meadow recovers, we are part of that dual story ... the big systemic shifts and the quiet gestures of care. Even if our estate feels small in the face of global shifts, our actions ripple. They join larger patterns. They matter.

🌱 How This Could Ripple at Fossoway

  • We might map one part of the estate as a “micro-infrastructure” zone ... hedgerows, wild borders, tree canopy ... showing how nature serves people and wildlife here.

  • We can ask children or visitors: “What natural invention inspires you?” (like rain-electricity) and link their ideas to real-world action at Fossoway.

  • We could highlight one renewable step we’re taking (e.g., sourcing green energy, increasing solar potential, tracking biodiversity) and share it with the community as a “small accelerant” of change.

✨ Parting Thought

This week reminds us that progress doesn’t always wait for the perfect moment. It grows in the soil of possibility ... a tech breakthrough, a rising forest canopy, a community planting session. At Fossoway, our seed-planting, our woodland walks, our kids’ clubs - they’re not separate from the global story. They’re its roots.

Thank you for reading and for being part of the journey. Here’s to a week of nurture, harmony and sustainable steps.

With gratitude,

The Harmony Report Team xx
