The Harmony Report - Issue #6 - 10.11.25

ree

Good morning from Fossoway Stables. Each week we gather stories of growth, connection and renewal, from here and around the world, through the lens of our values: NURTURE • HARMONY • SUSTAINABILITY.

This week’s selection asks us ... how do small acts and bold shifts converge to shape our future?

🌍 This Week’s Curated Highlights

1. Renewables Surpass Coal Globally

In the first half of 2025, global electricity generation from renewables exceeded that from coal for the first time.

Why it matters: This milestone isn’t just about energy numbers — it signals that pathways to a cleaner, healthier world are realising traction at scale.

2. Good News Round-Up ... Local Action + Global Gain

A recent roundup of positive environment stories highlights everything from previously unseen marine life near Antarctica to communities embracing nature restoration.

Why it matters: Real change is happening in both wild, remote places and in local neighbourhoods reminding us nurture and renewal are everywhere.

3. The “Good News” Agenda .... Why It Matters

Journalists and commentators emphasise the importance of sharing positive sustainability stories not to gloss over challenges, but to spur action and hope.

Why it matters: At Fossoway, when we share stories of growth, we’re doing more than reporting, we’re nurturing possibility in our community.

🌿 Reflection from Fossoway

Reading through these stories this morning, a few strands stood out ...

  • Momentum is real. The shift away from coal and the new attention to positive stories these aren’t peripheral ... they’re central to change.

  • Action is everywhere. From high-level energy statistics to hidden discoveries in oceans, progress happens in many arenas.

  • The small steps matter. At Fossoway, our garden beds, woodland edges, after-school clubs and conversations matter because they connect to the bigger picture.

🌱 How This Could Ripple at Fossoway

  • Could we share a monthly “bright moment” board at Fossoway where we highlight one positive story (like renewables beating coal) and show how we’re making our own steps locally?

  • Might we invite participants in Fossoway activities (kids’ clubs, guests, visitors) simply to spot and share one good-news story of their own linking global hope to personal action?

  • Could we consider how our own energy use, materials, and land-management practices align with the story of renewables beating fossil fuels even if just in one small step this term?

✨ Parting Thought

Sometimes, change doesn’t roar, it hums. A shift in global energy, a new species spotted beneath the waves, a local club planting a hedge. This week, may we listen for the hum of hope. May we notice that progress is not just possible, it’s here, unfolding. And may we let that sense of possibility guide our steps this week at Fossoway.

Thank you for reading, and for being part of this journey. Here’s to a week of nurture, harmony and sustainable steps.

With gratitude,

The Harmony Report Team xx
